TABROA Holds 1st Quarterly Meeting
The 1st Quarterly Meeting of the Tarlac Business Registration Officers’ Association (TABROA) was convened in Capas, Tarlac on March 31, 2016, bringing together the Business Permit and Licensing Officers (BPLOs) and IT staff from the different local government units in the province.
The quarterly event hosted by the Capas local government unit was highlighted by the election of its new set of officers wherein Ms. Evelyn Roque of the municipality of Capas was elected as president. Other elected officers are: Cristina Gabriel of Moncada as Vice President, Clarita Papa of Camiling as Secretary, Edwin Campos of Bamban as Treasurer and Ernesto G. Benitez Jr. of Pura as Auditor.
Mr. Anton Rodriguez of Brocode Technologies, who helped the Capas LGU in their computerization initiatives, was invited to the meeting to discuss and demonstrate the LGU’s computerized system with on-line processing in the issuance of mayor’s permit. The demonstration aims to assist LGUs in choosing the appropriate IT solutions for the streamlining of their BPLS processes. He was asked by the group to extend his assistance to all the LGUs of Tarlac. Mr. Rodriguez pledged to provide an affordable package for Tarlac’s LGUs to help them in their computerization plans.
During the meeting, the association planned their 2016 activities which include capability build up activities like benchmarking and BPLS-related training. Ms. Evangeline Castillo, the Investment Promotion Officer of the Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT) expressed her support in carrying out the association’s projects during the year.
Established in 2013, the TABROA is a government association which brings together all the designated BPLOs from the different local government units of the province. The association meets quarterly to regularly discuss BPLS-related matters that will sustain and further enhance the business and investment-enabling environment in Tarlac.
