CLGCFI Launches Central Luzon Regional Brand

The Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation, Inc. (CLGCFI) launched the Central Luzon Regional Brand on 20 October 2017 at the Philippine Trade Training Center, Pasay City in conjunction with the opening of the Manila FAME Trade Fair. Present during the unveiling of the regional brand are Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) Executive Director Clayton Tugonan, DTI-3 Regional Director Judith P. Angeles, DTI-3 Provincial Directors and representatives of the governors of the seven provinces of the region.

The regional brand aims to carry a unifying theme that is focused on the promotion of Central Luzon in the areas of trade, investment and tourism.

The logo, which is set to appear on the region’s promotional collaterals, features seven figures of different sizes and colors representing the 7 Central Luzon provinces coming together to form the infinity sign or symbol. The infinity is often associated with eternity, empowerment, and everlastingness. It also means perfection and equilibrium. In mathematics and physics that refers to a quantity with no bound or end - a quantity larger than any number. This translates well when correlated to investments.

The slogan, Central Luzon: Experience the BEST, represents the region at its finest – Business-friendly, Environment-friendly, Strategic location and Tourist destination.

The regional brand is a result of CLGCFI’s Central Luzon Branding Challenge held on July 20, 2017 where entries from the seven provinces were anonymously presented to and judged by CLGCFI President and Tarlac Governor Susan A. Yap, CLGCFI Vice-President and Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, CLGCFI Member and DTI-3 Regional Director Angeles, and Wonka Media Factory Creative Professional Marvyne Gepte.

The judges unanimously voted for Tarlac’s entry, “Central Luzon: Experience the B.E.S.T. in the Heart of Luzon.”

Other provincial entries were Aurora’s G.A.I.N. Central Luzon, Bataan’s Central Luzon Beyond the Usual, Zambales’ Clark… Subic… Central Luzon, Your Top Investment Destination Choice!, Nueva Ecija’sExplore It. Find It. Love It, Bulacan’s Central Luzon, Logical Solution for Business Location, and Pampanga’s The Region’s Investment Center.
