GENPACT Bataan Officially Opens
On November 15, 2016, Genpact Philippines officially inaugurated its first provincial site in the country located at Vista Mall, Balanga City, Bataan.
As of the inaugural date, Genpact Bataan has already filled around 150 seats, which is half of the operational manpower target of the site for the year 2016, and is projected to eventually house 500 seats early next year.
Meanwhile, Bataan Governor Albert Raymond Garcia said during the event that the presence of Genpact in the province will have a big impact in the lives of the Bataeños and the local economy while promising a world-class LGU service to Genpact and other industries that will invest in the province.
Genpact, which stands for “Generating Business Impact” has been a two-decade global leader in digitally-powered business process management and services. It has established its first office in Alabang, Muntinlupa in 2006.
The Provincial Government of Bataan believes that the entry of Genpact in the province as the first business process outsourcing information technology office will serve as an anchor that will attract more investors to the BPO industry.
According to Genpact Country Manager Dan Reyes, the IT-BPO Industry in the future will expand in the robotics, process, automation, artificial intelligence and big data analytics, and Genpact had already coordinated with the academe in Bataan to help produce the right talents that will be required in the next few years.
“What we’re trying to do here in Bataan is really expand, not only in the area of contact center services but also in financial accounting as well as IT services,” Dan Reyes added.
