DTI Conducts 5s of Good Housekeeping Seminar to Power Generation Companies
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Nueva Ecija Provincial Office conducted a seminar on 5S of Good Housekeeping to 2 major green power companies in the province.
The Green Innovations for Tomorrow (GIFT) Corporation and the San Jose I Power Corporation were given the 5S Seminar by DTI Nueva Ecija Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist (STIDS) Richard Simangan on January 24 and February 7, respectively.
The seminar aims to educate the manpower resources of the two companies with the strategies of 5S of Good Housekeeping. 5S stands for Sort (Seiri), Set in Order (Seiton), Shine (Seiso), Standardize (Seiketsu), and Sustain (Shitsuke).
Both companies requested for the conduct of the seminar owing to their commitment to develop and enhance the skills of their human resources. Ms. Eulalia Castro, Manager of GIFT Corporation requested the training in time for the expansion of the company’s operations. Meanwhile, Engr. Edgardo Alfonso, Chief Operations Officer of San Jose I Power Corporation, would like all their employees to internalize the 5S discipline to save resources. The companies are eyeing a new batch of employees for another round of the same seminar from DTI.
GIFT and San Jose Power I Corporation are among the major companies in the region that produce renewable energy, a flourishing multi-billion peso industry in the country.
