The Tarlac City government and Menlo Capital Corporation jointly undertook the project Rehabilitation and Restoration of the River Dikes/Reclamation of River Beds for the Development of Tarlac City Eco-Tourism Light Industrial Park.

Said industrial park covers 112 hectares in the barangays of San Nicolas, Sepung Calzada, Salapungan, Aguso, and Sta. Cruz.

According to Tarlac City Mayor Gelacio Manalang during the Groundbreaking Ceremony held on April 8, 2016, the project will house government offices, commercial buildings, schools and industrial park for light industries.

The project will cost Php3.9 Billion but it will entail no cost to the city government. It is also expected to generate more investments in the city and create more jobs and income for the city government.
