The Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation, Inc. (CLGCFI) elected a new set of officers and reaffirmed its commitment to coordinated regional leadership during its General Assembly and Year-End Assessment held on December 3, 2025, at the Midori Hotel, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

The assembly was attended by Bataan Governor Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III, Tarlac Governor Christian Tell A. Yap, and Aurora Governor Isidro P. Galban along with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) directors and Investment Promotion Officers (IPOs) from across Central Luzon.

Bataan Governor Garcia was unanimously elected CLGCFI President for the 2025–2028 term. He was joined by Governor Yap as Vice President, Governor Galban as Secretary, and Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando as Treasurer.

In his acceptance message, Governor Garcia underscored the importance of unity among provinces in advancing the region’s investment agenda. “We have to continue working together to capitalize on the strengths of each province and bring more investments to Central Luzon,” he said, noting that collaboration with DTI and local investment promotion offices remains crucial amid increasing competition for investments.

Governor Garcia also cited major infrastructure initiatives as transformative for the region, including projects improving inter-regional connectivity and supporting logistics, tourism, and industry. “These projects will not only benefit individual provinces but will raise the competitiveness of Central Luzon as a whole,” he added.

For his part, Governor Yap highlighted the role of investments in job generation and sustainable growth, emphasizing the need to attract the “right industries” to the region. “As a region, we are the next corridor for development. If we plan it right and plan it sustainably, we can create more opportunities and jobs for our people,” he said.

Governor Galban, attending his first CLGCFI activity as Aurora’s chief executive, expressed his support for the Foundation’s programs and initiatives. “This is a learning process for me, but you have my full support. What we do here will also support the programs and development plans of Aurora,” he said.

DTI Region 3 Director Edna D. Dizon, who also serves as Head Secretariat of CLGCFI, presented the Foundation’s accomplishments for 2025, reporting full participation of all Central Luzon local government units in the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index. She also cited continued progress in trade and investment promotion, infrastructure development under national government convergence programs, and capacity-building initiatives for IPOs.

With a new set of officers in place, the Foundation is expected to sustain coordination with the regional network of Investment Promotion Officers as Central Luzon positions itself as a competitive destination for investments and job-generating industries.
