SITEL Eyed to Boost Tarlac’s Economy

SITEL is one of the world’s leading Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies and its 12th and latest customer experience center in the country opened its office at the Robinson’s Mall in San Miguel, Tarlac City on January 14, 2016.

The operation of SITEL in Tarlac is eyed to contribute to the progress of the economy of the province. It is expected to generate up to 1,500 jobs for the people and to create other economic opportunities for local entrepreneurs, such as food, retail and transportation businesses.

SITEL has chosen Tarlac as an expression of its commitment to assist in the development of the countryside. As described by Craig Reines, SITEL Philippines Chief Operating Officer, during the opening ceremony, the province has its strategic advantage being located in the midpoint north of Manila. It also has a huge pool of qualified human resources who are highly committed and with customer service skills suitable for complex outsourcing processes.

As of May 31, 2016, 650 employees have been hired by SITEL Tarlac, accounting for more than 3% of the company’s total workforce in the country. Currently, SITEL has more than 18,000 employees working in its offices and center in the Philippines.
